National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) Bangalore was set up on 1992 by Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, objective is a research centre specializing in biological research. It is a most important division of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) under the Department of Atomic Energy of the India Government.
